Australian Christian Churches
We Are
AUSTRALIAN CHRISTIAN CHURCHES is a movement of Pentecostal Churches in voluntary cooperation. Each individual church is self-governing, but commits itself to work together with other churches in the movement for the purpose of mutual support and the spread of the gospel in Australia and the world.
The Assemblies of God in Australia was formed in 1937 and has experienced consistent growth, particularly in the last twenty years. It adopted a new name of Australian Christian Churches in 2007 and currently consists of almost 1,100 churches with over 250,000 constituents, making it the largest Pentecostal movement in Australia.
In our churches you'll find vibrant, contemporary Christians who love the Lord Jesus Christ and express that love in lively praise and worship and in caring relationships. Australian Christian Churches people are Bible-loving, evangelical and Pentecostal. We are committed to bringing other people to a relationship with Jesus Christ (Matt 28:18-20) and seek to display the fruit of the Spirit in our lives (Gal 5:22-23). We believe in the power and the gifts of the Holy Spirit and have a commitment to fulfilling our destiny in God.

Leyte-Samar Center for Change Foundation
A loving home in a safe village with a chance to go to school is only a dream for most children living on the streets. Scavenging and begging for food is no environment to grow up in. Stealing and learning to survive the constant threat of abuse are not the lessons one should need to learn at an early age.
Leyte-Samar Center for Change Foundation is making a difference. Imagine, being accepted into a loving family, accepted for who you are and yet guided in a better way of life where you can have fun and laughter, receive a quality education, and learn to live a life of integrity, and become someone to look up to.
Eighty-nine children are currently experiencing such transition in our village of ten homes, complete with elementary school. Twelve youth are studying at our local high school and three are studying at College. Others have been reunited with families or are in the workforce. After eight years of operation, Center For Change Village continues to move toward self-sufficiency, growing crops, and livestock, producing coconut oil, soap, and shampoo. In October 2010 the construction of a skills training building to house a bakery is underway. It is believed that this project will move Center For Change Village toward greater sustainability, and allow more children an opportunity for a life away from the streets.

National Servicemans Association ACT
The National Servicemen's Association of Australia is currently Australia's second largest ex-military service organization just behind the RSL in total membership numbers.
Vietnam was a war that divided the Australian nation and some sections of the community reviled and abused Diggers in uniform, including National Servicemen. On top of that, those who had served in Malaysia, Papua New Guinea and Australia, although giving up two years of their lives, were not eligible for the repatriation benifits available to active servicemen. The late Barry Vicary founded the National Servicemen's Association in Toowomba on November 28, 1987 to seek a better deal for these Nashos. Later, he widened the Association to include the 1950's call up.
The ACT Branch Inc of the National Servicemen's Association was formed to assist all ex National Servicemen from both schemes and to promote the issues we feel should be brought to the attention of the Federal Government and other National bodies.
High Street Church's Senior Pastor Wayne Lyons serves as chaplain to National Servicemans Association ACT.

'Present the reality of Jesus Christ through radio and other media'
1WAY FM is not a church- it is a Community Christian organisation. As an organisation, 1WAY FM holds to the statement of Christian belief known as 'The Apostle's Creed', as seen below:
- I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
- I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.
- He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
- He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
- He descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again.
- He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
- He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
- I believe in the Holy Spirit,
- the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints,
- the forgiveness of sins,
- the resurrection of the body,
- and life everlasting.
- Amen.
